In December 2022 we were saddened to hear of the death of our much-respected Honorary President, Miss Elizabeth Izatt   Elizabeth was retired Professor of singing and Vocal Studies at the RSAMD and an accomplished choral conductor.  She was formerly the conductor of the Glasgow Philharmonic Male Voice Choir and under her direction the Choir organised and ran the Woolwich International Song Competition as part of Glasgow’s City of Culture Celebrations.

The choir was delighted to have such an acclaimed teacher and singer whom they could call on for advice and support. We will miss her advice and expertise which she generously gave to the choir in her 21 years as Honorary President.
