The Choir sees itself as an integral part of our community and welcomes all who enjoy regular singing. No audition is required. An ability to follow music and a commitment to attend rehearsals are assumed.

As most new members are not  experienced ‘sight-singers’, it is usual for a new member to rehearse with the choir for approx. 3 months before considering taking part in any concerts. This is subject to the discretion of the Musical Director.

Rehearsals take place on Sunday evenings.

The Choir has a dress code for concerts.

Members are supplied with music. Potential new members coming for a few ‘taster’ evenings before they join, are welcome to borrow music and are asked to return it at the end of the night.

The annual subscription for members for session 2018/19 is £110 which is paid in two instalments of £55. Students and under 18s are free. A membership form can be downloaded here. Please consider gift-aiding your subscription.

Please return your membership form to your section steward, who can provide you with a New Member Pack and is also available to answer questions any member may have during the choir year.

The Annual General Meeting takes place on the Sunday immediately following the Spring Concert.
